This mandate, as detailed in notification GSR 1162(E) on December 4, 2018, and SO 6052 on December 6, 2018, aims to heighten enforcement measures. Rajasthan’s State Government further solidified this directive through order no. 21063 on September 21, 2023.
This order delineates the prescribed method for affixing HSRPs and color-coded stickers on vehicles registered prior to April 1, 2019. HSRP Number Plate Rajasthan 2024: Fitment Procedure
The installation process of High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) encompasses various essential elements. Firstly, it involves mounting the specialized HSRP itself, which is a tamper-resistant plate equipped with multiple security features. These features consist of a hologram based on chromium and a distinct laser-engraved identification number. The HSRP is securely attached to the vehicle using snap locks that cannot be removed or reused. Moreover, the fitting of HSRP also encompasses the attachment of a third registration plate in the form of color-coded stickers.
These self-destructing hologram stickers made of chromium are positioned on the inside of the vehicle’s windshield at the left-hand corner. The colors of these stickers differ based on the type of fuel utilized by the vehicle. For instance, diesel vehicles display stickers with an orange background, while petrol and CNG vehicles have light blue backgrounds, and vehicles using alternative fuels have grey backgrounds. Additionally, the third registration plate includes a 1 cm green strip to signify compliance with the required regulations.

Owners of vehicles registered in Rajasthan before April 1, 2019, are required to attach the High-Security Registration Plate (HSRP) within specific timeframes determined by the last digit of their registration number. Vehicles ending with digits 1 or 2 must have their HSRP installed by February 29, 2024, while those ending with 3 or 4 have until March 31, 2024. The deadline for vehicles ending with 5 or 6 is April 30, 2024; for those ending with 7 or 8, it is May 31, 2024, and for 9 or 0, the deadline is June 30, 2024. It is essential for vehicle owners to meet these deadlines to ensure compliance with the regulations regarding HSRP.

The High-Security Registration Plate (HSRP) numbers for vehicles in Rajasthan for the year 2024 have been updated with the rate list. The rates, inclusive of GST, fitment, and convenience charges, are as follows:
- For Two-Wheelers, the maximum rate stands at Rs 425.00.
- Three-Wheelers fall under the category of Rs 470.00.
- Four-Wheelers, specifically Light Motor Vehicles (LMV), have a maximum rate of Rs 695.00.
- Medium & Heavy Motor Vehicles are priced at Rs 730.00.
- Tractors and Agriculture Equipments are categorized at Rs 495.00.
