HSRP Number Plate Odisha 2024: The High-Security Registration Plate (HSRP) installation process is exclusive to vehicle manufacturers (OEMs) and their authorized dealers. The designated HSRP provider approved by the OEMs will be the sole supplier of these plates to their authorized dealers. For older vehicles, the installation of HSRP will be conducted by the OEMs’ authorized dealers.
In order to promote transparency and prevent price gouging, vehicle owners are required to schedule the installation of HSRP and complete the payment through an official online portal authorized by the OEM. Through this portal, owners can select a dealer, location, and installation date that suits them best. Regular notifications regarding the status of the order will be sent to owners via SMS through the authorized portal.
OEMs or their dealers must clearly display the charges for HSRP installation at their showrooms and on the HSRP portal to uphold transparency standards. Additional services offering HSRP installation at a different location may be provided for an additional fee, pending the owner’s approval.
Upon installing the HSRP, OEMs or their dealers must update the laser code in the VAHAN portal. Vehicles lacking a valid Registration Certificate, Fitness Certificate (for Transport Vehicles), or with outstanding tax obligations will not be eligible for HSRP installation by OEMs or their authorized dealers. OEMs are required to adjust their portal accordingly to comply with these regulations.
