UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandant Exam 2024: Prohibition on Mobile Phones and Other Items: The use of mobile phones (even when powered off), pagers, or any electronic devices, programmable gadgets, or storage media like pen drives and smartwatches is entirely forbidden. This also extends to cameras, Bluetooth devices, or any apparatus that could serve as a means of communication during the examination.

Any breach of these rules will lead to disciplinary consequences, which may include disqualification from future examinations. Candidates are highly encouraged to refrain from bringing any prohibited items, including mobile phones or valuable belongings, to the exam site, as there will be no facilities available for secure storage. The Commission will not accept liability for any losses that may occur in this context.

UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandant Examination 2024 Eligibility

To apply for the UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandant Examination in 2024, candidates must fulfill specific eligibility requirements, detailed below:
Nationality: Only individuals who are citizens of India are eligible for appointment or employment under these regulations, unless written permission is granted by the Central Government. However, candidates from Nepal or Bhutan may also be considered for these roles.
Gender: The position of Assistant Commandants is open to both male and female applicants.
Age Criteria:
Applicants should be a minimum of 20 years old and not exceed 25 years as of August 1, 2024. This indicates that their birth date should fall between August 2, 1999, and August 1, 2004.
Age relaxation is available under the following conditions:

  • Up to five years for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes.
  • Up to three years for candidates from Other Backward Classes who qualify for reservation.
  • Up to five years for Civilian Central Government Servants, according to current government guidelines. Ex-Servicemen are also eligible for this relaxation. Nevertheless, the total age relaxation for those in Government Service cannot surpass five years.
