TN Anganwadi Recruitment 2024: Salary & Benefits | ICDS Job Updates

TN Anganwadi Recruitment 2024: In 2024, the Tamil Nadu government is actively working on various projects to improve the infrastructure of Anganwadi centers across the state. The primary goal is to ensure that each center has a sturdy and permanent building that fulfills all essential criteria. These buildings are designed to have specific areas for children’s activities, a separate kitchen for meal preparation, storage space for food supplies, child-friendly restroom facilities, and sufficient room for recreational purposes.

The required land area for constructing each Anganwadi center varies from 1500 to 2000 square feet, with a minimum built-up area of 600 square feet. These construction projects are undertaken in partnership with the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) under the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, as well as the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS). Between 2016 and 2019, a substantial number of Anganwadi centers were successfully built, and the government plans to continue this momentum by constructing new facilities for an additional 1303 centers in the upcoming year 2019-2020.
