TN TASMAC Holidays List 2024 for Election
In 2024, the Tamil Nadu TASMAC Holiday Calendar will come into effect, coinciding with the Parliamentary General Election. Scheduled from the 17th to the 19th of April 2024 for voting in the Chennai District, all TASMAC Liquor Retail Stores and licensed bars associated with clubs are required to shut down. This closure will last until the night of the 19th of April, with the following day, the 4th of June 2024, marked as the counting of votes day.
21/04/24 & 01/05/24 TN TASMAC Shops are Closed
In celebration of Mahavir Jayanti Day on 21.04.2024 (Sunday) and May Day on 01.05.2024 (Wednesday), an announcement has been made to shut down all Tasmac liquor retail stores and related outlets within the Chennai district. This step is intended to pay homage to these meaningful occasions and encourage a spirit of moderation and reverence among the populace.
24/05/24 & 26/05/24 TN TASMAC Shops are Closed
The upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Kerala State on April 26, 2024, will see a temporary halt in liquor sales at several Tasmac Liquor Shops situated within a 5 km radius of the state border. Specifically, establishments such as Thalur (8215), Ayyangolli (8235), Nambiargunnu (8411), Erumadu (8447), and Samudra Regency FL3 Bar Hotel in Erumadu, Pandalur, will refrain from selling alcohol between 10:00 am on April 24, 2024, until midnight on April 26, 2024. It is mandatory for both Tasmac retail shops and hotel bars to remain closed during this period.
04/06/2024 TN TASMAC Shops and Bars are Closed
During the prelude to the Parliamentary General Election in Chennai District in May 2024, the government has stipulated the shutdown of all TASMAC liquor retail outlets and licensed bars, including those linked to clubs. This order is effective from the evening preceding the election day until the tallying day on June 4, 2024.
