SSC CHSL Exam 2024 Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for various positions in the SSC CHSL Exam 2024, candidates must meet specific educational qualifications as of August 1, 2024. For roles such as Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) and Data Entry Operator (DEO)/DEO Grade ‘A’ (excluding certain DEOs in specific Departments/Ministries), applicants need to have completed the 12th Standard or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University. Furthermore, individuals aiming to become Data Entry Operators (DEOs)/DEO Grade ‘A’ in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution and the Ministry of Culture must have passed the 12th Standard in the Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or its equivalent.
Prospective candidates should fall within the age bracket of 18 to 27 years, meaning those born between August 2, 1997, and August 1, 2006, are eligible to apply. Moreover, there are provisions for age relaxation beyond the upper age limit in accordance with the prevailing rules and regulations.
SSC CHSL Exam 2024 Salary Package
The SSC CHSL Exam 2024 offers competitive salary packages for different roles:
- Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) receives a basic pay of Rs. 19,900 in Pay Matrix Level-2, totaling Rs. 37,845 in metro cities.
- Data Entry Operator (DEO) earns a basic pay of Rs. 29,200 in Pay Matrix Level-5, resulting in a total salary of Rs. 57,960 in metro cities.
- Data Entry Operator, Grade A, has a basic pay of Rs. 25,500 in Pay Matrix Level-4, leading to a total salary of Rs. 51,300 in metro cities.
